Umweltcluster Bayern is organising an overseas market visit to Moscow for businesses in the low carbon & environmental goods and services sector. This is the second in a series of overseas market visits that aim to support the international growth and expansion of environmental businesses in Europe.

Why Russia?

Improving the country’s environmental situation is a top priority for the Russian
Government. There is now increasing investment in environmental protection,
creating more opportunities for environmental goods and services companies to enter the market. What specific opportunities are there for companies in Russia?

• Equipment for the processing and recycling of waste, such as compactors and shredders

• Equipment and technology for the automatic sorting of mixed waste covering the different climates and forms of waste across the country

• Equipment to process medical waste

• Technology and services for the research, design and construction of modern landfill sites

• Delivery of projects for waste treatment and wastewater treatment for purification ready for the forthcoming Winter Olympics and Paralympics in 2014.
