Alternative energy production |
Conventional energy resources like oil and gas will be exhausted in a few decades and their excavation und utilisation will be more cost-intensive with increasing demand. At the same time the burning of fossil energy sources accompanies with enormous greenhouse gas emissions and further environmental impacting substances. To this background the intensified utilization of renewable energies along with the possibility for alternative energy production suggests itself. Among this are the energy production from biomass or biogas as well as technologies and processes, which enable the energy recovery from waste, biogenic substrates or wastewater. Exemplary the utilization of heat from wastewater for the operating of heat pumps in heating systems or the energy generation from biogenic waste is mentioned.
In 2009 the percentage of renewable energies including the energetic utilization of waste on the full primary energy consumption in Germany was 8.9 percent. The biggest part allotted to biomass. For this reason today the alternative energy production contributes an essential part for resource and climate protection. |
