EcoCluP

The EU project EcoCluP “Eco-Innovation Cluster Partnership for Internationalisation and Growth” is the first European cluster program in support of the innovative capcities of the environmental technology sector.

 

It is mainly addressed to small and medium-sized companies in the areas of waste, water, remediation of contamined sites, air pollution control, environmental services, energy and sustainable construction.


The network targets:

 

  • strengthening of the innovative and competitive capacities of the cluster companies
  • support of internationalization activities of the cluster companies
  • initiation of research projects between companies and research facilities within Europe
  • strengthening of the partnership between the environmental technology clusters in Europe
  • training of the cluster managers in order to improve the cluster services

 

 

Activities:

 

The concrete actions, which can be realized within the frame of EcoCluP, also include:

 

  • the organization and implementation of international business trips and matchmaking events
  • the implementation of internationalization workshops and trainings
  • the development and adaptation of support tools, which support companies and research facilities in the field of innovation (Leaflet Innovation Support Tool), such as e.g. a risk assessment test or the innovation management quick check

The network:

 

Within the scope of the project a European partner network has developed. It consists of 13 environmental technology clusters from ten countries and unifies more than 3,500 cluster companies (above all SMEs) as well as 430 research facilities from Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Great Britain.
