Landfills remain an indispensable part of global waste management. iDetec - Competence Center for Innovative Landfill Technology offers solutions in the area of modern landfill technology.
Despite the German landfill ban in 2005, and despite all efforts of modern cicular economy, landfills still play an important role as pollutant sinks. Landfill operators face various challenges, from the aftercare and remediation of former MSW dumps to the planning and operation of inert or hazardous waste landfills to dealing with authorities.
In order to offer environmentally friendly, safe and cost-efficient solutions, iDetec connects companies and partners from the public and scientific sector. The consortium is able to offer unconventional solutions and develop location-specific, custom-made concepts in the area of modern landfill technology. Furthermore, iDetec organizes workshops and meetings for Bavarian landfill operators.
